Support & Procurement
Frequently Asked
Questions
Everything OEM brands and distributors need to know before placing their first order with Tronxer -- from minimum quantities to certification documentation.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Our standard MOQ is 50 pieces per SKU for prototype or validation runs. For production orders, the recommended quantity starts at 200-500 pcs to unlock tiered pricing. There is no upper cap -- we regularly fulfill orders in the tens of thousands per month for established OEM accounts.
How is pricing structured for OEM orders?
Pricing is tiered by volume bracket (50-199 / 200-999 / 1,000-4,999 / 5,000+). We quote on a per-SKU basis -- capacity, speed grade, form factor, and heatspreader option all affect unit cost. Send us your target spec and monthly forecast and we'll return a formal quotation within 2 business days.
Do you offer sample units before a production order?
Yes. We offer free engineering samples (typically 2-4 pcs) for qualified buyers who provide a business email and intended use case. Samples ship via DHL/FedEx Express; the buyer covers freight. Samples are production-representative -- same PCB, same die lot, same SPD programming as your eventual order.
What is the standard production lead time?
Standard orders ship in 7-14 business days after order confirmation and deposit receipt. Custom heatspreader or private-label artwork adds 3-5 days for tooling on the first run. Repeat orders with existing artwork ship faster. We provide a production schedule with each order confirmation.
Which shipping methods and Incoterms do you support?
We ship worldwide via DHL, FedEx, UPS, and sea freight for large pallets. Default terms are EXW Shenzhen; FOB Shenzhen and CIF destination port are available on request. We can also arrange shipment through your nominated forwarder. All cartons include anti-static packaging and humidity indicator cards.
Can you handle urgent or rush orders?
Rush production (3-5 business days) is available for standard SKUs already in our validated lineup, subject to raw-material inventory. A rush surcharge applies. Contact your account manager with your required ship date and we will confirm feasibility within 24 hours.
What OEM customisation options are available?
We support full white-label and private-brand production including: custom heatspreader colour & finish, laser-etched or printed brand logo, custom SPD/XMP/EXPO profile programming, branded retail box and insert, anti-static tray or blister packaging, and custom sticker labels. Tronxer branding is completely absent from the finished product -- your brand is the only identity on the shelf.
Do you sign NDAs or confidentiality agreements?
Yes. We routinely sign mutual NDAs before sharing pricing, die-lot traceability reports, or production process documentation. Send us your preferred NDA template or request our standard form. We also keep all client brand assets, SKU lists, and order volumes strictly confidential.
Can you program custom XMP / EXPO profiles for overclocking products?
Yes. We program Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO profiles in-house. You provide the target frequency, primary timings (CL / tRCD / tRP / tRAS), and voltage; we validate the profile on our test benches across multiple motherboard platforms before mass production. Profile validation is included in the unit price for orders of 200 pcs or more.
How do you ensure motherboard and system compatibility?
Each SKU is validated on a representative set of Intel and AMD platforms before release. We maintain internal QVL (Qualified Vendor List) data and can share compatibility test reports on request. For industrial or embedded customers with specific SBC or server platforms, we offer custom compatibility testing against your target hardware -- contact us with your board model.
Do your industrial modules support extended temperature ranges?
Yes. Our industrial-grade SODIMM and DIMM modules are available in commercial (0°C~70°C), wide-temp (−20°C~85°C), and full industrial (−40°C~85°C) grades. Extended-temp modules use screened DRAM dies and conformal-coating options are available for harsh-environment deployments. Specify your operating temperature range when requesting a quote.
Can you supply ECC or registered (RDIMM) memory?
Yes. We produce unbuffered ECC (UDIMM ECC), registered ECC (RDIMM), and load-reduced (LRDIMM) modules for server and workstation platforms. These are built with server-grade PCB substrates and validated on Xeon and EPYC reference platforms. Minimum order for RDIMM/LRDIMM is 100 pcs due to the register component lead time.
What DRAM chip brands do you use, and can I verify the source?
We source DRAM dies exclusively from Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron -- no grey-market or remarked chips. Every production lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Conformance (COC) that you can forward to your end customers. Die brand, wafer lot number, and date code are traceable in our production records and can be disclosed under NDA.
What is your defect and RMA rate?
Our first-pass yield is 99.2% across all product lines, measured over rolling 90-day production windows. Field RMA rate is below 0.3%. Every module undergoes 24-hour burn-in on our 5,000+ test stations before packing. Lots that fall below threshold are quarantined and re-screened -- not shipped.
What warranty do you offer on shipped products?
Standard warranty is 3 years from shipment date for consumer and gaming modules, and 5 years for industrial-grade variants. Warranty covers manufacturing defects confirmed by our technical team. We handle RMA logistics efficiently -- defective units are replaced or credited within 10 business days of receipt and verification.
What regulatory certifications do your products carry?
Our standard product line holds the following certifications, with documentation available on request:
CE (EU)
FCC (US)
RoHS
REACH
ISO 9001
JEDEC Compliant
Are your products RoHS and REACH compliant?
Yes. All Tronxer modules are fully RoHS 3 (EU 2015/863) and REACH SVHC compliant. We use lead-free solder and halogen-free PCB laminates across the entire product range. Compliance declarations and third-party test reports are available as part of our standard documentation package.
Can you provide documentation for medical or industrial compliance?
Yes. For medical-grade and industrial embedded customers we can provide: full material declaration (FMD), FMEA reports, process audit access, long-term supply commitment letters, and product change notification (PCN) agreements. We understand that regulatory traceability is non-negotiable in these verticals -- your dedicated account manager will assemble the full documentation package before your first production order.
